Trabalho de Atores

Posted on Nov 20th, 2007 by Erick : Researcher & Therapist Erick

Bioenergetics for Actors

Bioenergetics For Actors

Bioenergetics, which takes the practitioner to a deeper contact with himself, allows him to go through a natural development from inside out.  It means that he will realize the value of his emotions and instincts along the process, being able to see them as an authentic, unique and personal source of inspiration.

The actor will acquire a valuable knowingness of his body and its intricate relation to emotions. Also, the increased somatic and emotional awareness leads him into an increasing sense of becoming more natural, more human and more realistic.

Body is a complex system which cumulated many registers throughout lifetime. These registers participate in the repertoire of our reactions in society and situations, revealing our unique personalities and differences. In theater those registers must be used purposefully by an actor to perform.

The body can learn to speak for itself only if it is recognized as an ally and is allowed to express in its full range. A body full of tensions, restrained by fear, anxiety and insecurity will not be ready to respond voluntarily and will reveal only shy and limited movements.
